A consortium comprised of nineteen companies and organizations active in the fields of cinema, television and multimedia productions, varying in dimension and direction, have come together to work toward a common goal: to invest in the industrial, technological and cultural future of the Emilia-Romagna region. This is Digicittà.
A digital city, a city of services, those offered by the many companies which are the soul of the Consortium: from production to post-production, from creativity to service, from technological to multimedia know-how, Digicittà brings together the experience and resources of major local companies.
Digicittà's goals include providing training in the fields of communication and new technologies, reinforcing the infrastructure supporting the film and television industries and developing technological and telecommunication networks to favor exchange and communication.
Digicittà supports the development of regional television, film and multimedia sectors, with the aim of establishing a network of synergetic companies strong enough to compete with major studios, taking advantage of the wealth of cultural and cinematographic resources heritage of this area.
