Filippo Lilloni

Filippo Lilloni received a PhD in literature at UCLA and a diploma in visual anthropology at UFBA. After a few years in Brazil as a researcher in the field of anthropology, he shot his first short film. In 2001, he directed a cinema verite documentary, "Hong Kong Tale" which won the first prize at the 2003 Festival dei Popoli in Florence. In 2002-03, he shot "Rondonia" in the Brazilian rainforest and "Mestre Pedro" in the city of Bahia. In 2004- 06, he directed "Crazy People in search of another destiny" and "Cavalo Marinho" and "Circo Marimbondo".
