Diego Botta

was born in Savona 14 April, 1979. After receiving his high school diploma, he moved to Bologna to attend university studies in Communication Sciences. He first tried his hand at documentary filmmaking in Paris, under the Erasmus project, and then, once back in Italy, worked for an ad agency, where some of the commercials he made won national prizes. Meanwhile, he finished his degree, attended workshops and classes on cinema, and a masters in screen writing. In 2008 he produced Sunday Italian Sunday his first documentary, on soccer how emotional Italians are about it, which involved filmmakers all over Italy.
